“Just when the caterpillar thought it was all over, it became a butterfly.”

I love the quote above because there are times in life when we think all is lost, and yet, we awaken to a new day and a new beginning that is far brighter and better than we could have imagined. That is why I write this blog and share these images. My goal is to inspire, motivate and help others reach their greatest potential.

I’m a single mom with two remarkable children. My son is nearing the age when he will soon fly the nest, and I feel as if the sands of time are running at a breakneck pace through my fingers. My daughter is just three years behind him, and yet she still snuggles up close, wants me around (most of the time) and thinks I know best, (nearly most of the time.)

I’ve been divorced for more than a decade and live in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, a place of wonder and beauty. I was in a very difficult marriage that involved incredible negativity and from which it took years and lots of work to heal.

I have two degrees in journalism, although I’ve spent my career in public relations, marketing and outreach. I am infinitely curious and love to hear others’ stories. I find inspiration in simple beauty, kindness and God’s blessings. I hope I can inspire you to find your bliss, live your dreams and make the changes you need to realize your greatest potential.
